Tjukaruru Road Design (Ch. 56.27-85.23km)
Arccos Consulting took charge of the design for the upgrade of Tjukaruru Road, spanning from Ch. 56.27 to Ch. 85.23km. The project involved transforming the existing gravel road into an 8m sealed rural arterial road on a 9m formation, all within the current road alignment. Situated approximately 545km southwest of Alice Springs, the site required meticulous planning and execution to ensure successful implementation.
Key Achievements:
Upgrade to Sealed Rural Arterial Road: Successfully designed the upgrade of existing gravel road to an 8m sealed rural arterial road, enhancing connectivity and accessibility for local communities and travelers.
Truck Bay and Rest Area Design: Designed and documented a truck bay and rest area to improve safety and convenience for road users, particularly long-distance travelers and freight carriers.
Collaboration with DIPL Team: Worked closely with the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL) team to ensure alignment with departmental needs and incorporate lessons learned from previous construction works.
